Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work with Founders and/or Startups?
Absolutely! I have worked in all ages and stages of trades, general contractor, and field service work, and I enjoy them all.
What makes Impact Field Solutions different?
I have lived it. I am an operator first, consultant second. I roll up my sleeves, diagnose the leaks (in time, process, and profit), and help your team execute the fixes. Also, I am pretty fluent in Spanish (I lived in both Spain and Mexico for extended periods of time).
What industries do you specialize in?
I specialize in construction and field service because the fundamentals are the same regardless of business size or industry vertical. I’ve built field service businesses and systems in life sciences, construction, elevators, technical services, and beyond.
What is a “Field Service” business?
A field service business delivers a service to your place of business or your home. It could be a company that supplies nannies or does pest control, works on your HVAC, or fixes the elevator in an office building.
How do you measure success?
I measure success the same way you do: by what actually changes in the field and on your bottom line. (It is important to me that our charts go up and to the right!) Success means your teams run smoothly and have accountability, customer results are consistent, your margins grow, and systems replace chaos.
How quickly can we see results?
I focus on immediate impact. Our workshops are meant to create quick wins for your business in specific areas in a matter of hours. If you have longer-term leadership needs, we will have a goal of margin and efficiency improvements within 90 days, with longer-term systems built for sustainable growth.
Do you only do interim or fractional work?
No. The model is flexible because cash flow is real. I tailor support to solve the right problems at a pace and investment that fits your business.
Engagements range from half-day or multi-day or week project sprints, fractional leadership, and interim executive support. The goal is to align with your stage, priorities, and growth goals.
What does a Fractional COO do?
A Fractional COO brings executive-level operational leadership without the full-time cost. I pinpoint leaks, uncover growth opportunities, and drive measurable results with speed and precision. Typically, this means 2-3 days in your business every week for a pre-determined amount of time, either in person or virtually.
How do you work with companies backed by Private Equity or Venture Capital?
I align with investor priorities: revenue growth, margin expansion, cultural alignment, and exit readiness. That means building operational discipline, integrating acquisitions, and creating scalable platforms to maximize ROI.
Do you only partner with companies with outside investors?
No. I also partner with privately owned field service businesses to establish service fundamentals, standardize operations, and stop profit leaks, laying the foundation for scalable growth. We work with businesses in a wide variety of stages in their lifecycle.
